I'm Stu. I run On The Hill AI.

I spent 10+ years in operations management — running multi-site logistics, building departments from scratch, managing teams, and optimising processes in high-pressure, time-poor environments.

I didn't come from tech. I came from the operational chaos that service businesses deal with every day. When I saw the same problems recurring — manual stock tracking, inconsistent communication across sites, hours lost to admin that followed predictable patterns — I taught myself to code and built custom automation systems to fix them.

That meant barcode-based delivery verification so drivers could confirm drops without a phone call. Automated stock alerts that flagged low levels before anyone had to chase. Centralised reporting that compiled itself instead of eating a manager's morning. Route planning tools that factored in delivery windows and load capacity. Real systems, built for the real daily grind — not theoretical dashboards nobody uses.

The difference now is that the technology has caught up. What took months to build in Python can now be delivered in weeks using AI agents, API integrations, and modern automation platforms.
